About Me

I studied music from the age of four, being trained classically, and completed the Trinity College of Music examinations. I also studied music at college and have played classical music in orchestras. I am equally at ease with other genres of music having played in a number of bands, including genres of blues, popular music and rock. I have been involved in organising “Rotary Young Musician“ in the past and played music in numerous venues and settings. I also practice music therapy.

I am a registered tutor for the ABRSM and Trinity College of Music examination framework, with a 100% pass rate mostly at Merit or Distinction for those who wish to take part in the music examination structure.

Music is an exciting and ongoing journey, with so much to discover and learn. Focussing on examinations and qualification is not for everyone and in my opinion sometimes misses the point of learning and performing music as an evolving and inspirational art form.

Being a registered member of the Complementary Medical Association has given me a broader and deeper understanding of the healing power of music and has opened my mind to the importance of music in all our lives.
